Day 66- Thursday, March 15th 2012.
Today was meting preparation day. I called my dad at 10, accidentally woke him up. I told him how expensive it was to call American numbers so he said he would call me right back. an hour later I called back, he had fallen asleep and had stayed there. I woke him up AGAIN, I asked him if he had forgotten to call back. And he said no he was going to call back right now…Well its 10:30 P.M. now…He forgot…Or he is still sleeping. haha. Don't want to call him right now, just in case I wake him up again. Besides that I am running out of saldo on my phone and its only the 15th! No bueno!! The memorial campaign starts this Saturday. Excited? I think so! There was a lot I had forgotten that I would be helping with while here. I mean I remember knowing I wouldn't be there in Queretaro for lots of things but I guess it didn't aqure to me that I would be HERE for it. #1 the Assembly. which by the way, if I would have remembered that I would be in a different country for it, I would have considered buying a traditional Puebla dress. Hmm…Probably I would have just got or made a ranchera march one. That would have been SWEET! But I forgot. Some of the Mexicans here on the route remembered and got asked to take lots of pictures at the assembly. So if I had brought one too, they would have asked me. I guess that one was a freebie. But don't worry, I wasn't a COMPLETE train wreck to see…I actually somewhat looked like a lady I guess. Lots of people said and I quote and also translate: "I didn't even recognize you!" You know as simple as those comments are. It don't make anyone feel any better. Cause then we always think…"Does that mean I look SO different with make-up on?" which makes one wonder. "How do these people think of me, when I don't have make-up and hair-did-ness?" Which makes one ponder also, "Why is it NOW, that I do have make-up and hair-did-ness are more people seemingly more polite and friendly." Which makes one sad, when the assembly is over. And people start recognizing you, but not acknowledging. LOVELY no? I think NOT! ''No soup for you!'' Lame-ness. ANYWAYS, I really got off of topic there, where was I….A-HA! I remember now. #2 The Memorial. I completely forgot I would be HERE for the campaign and memorial. #3 I would be here (but not be able to attend) the fair! No wait that one wasn't so amazing. Cause I went to the fair like 2 times in Queretaro before I left. Hmm…well either way I forgot I was going to be here for these things. Its weird. Its the first assembly and memorial that my family is not all away. Very strange in deed. Ah yes here is a shout out for you guys back home. At the assembly I thought I saw ELI FUERTE from IRAPUATO, I also thought I saw that kid from that place! I KNOW!!! But it was not him, I even asked if he ever had been to Mexico. And he was like "Umm…I don't think so." I am pretty sure if he had gone to a different country he would have remembered it. Weirdo!
Speaking of WEIRDO! I found out an amazingly delicious surprise-secret about one of my amigos! I did not have the slightest clue, for one that he could even hold a note, but I didn't know even more so that he was a music artist WITH CD's out there. And just to clarify I remembered this because one of his songs is named 'Weirdo'. He is in no way, nor was I implying that he is, a weirdo…Actually all my friends are kind of weird, thats what attracts me to them in the first place. But I do think he is the un-weirdo-exception. And that right there is just weird. So Wa-la he passes! Anyways, since I found out about this whole music thing, I can't stop listening to his amazing-ness! And I am not just being sarcastic or over-enthusiastic. This guy has talent! SI, ME GUSTA!! :D Well tomorrow I am doing my 3rd LONG service day, out of the 3 that I have gone out this week. Its crazy I wasn't even supposed to have a long day on Tuesday, and it just happened! So I know have 15.5 hours this week. I am planning on being out for a long time tomorrow. From 9 to 6 at least. What is that 9 hours? Subtract a 30 minute lunch break. So 8.5 hours! WHOOP WHOOP!! Add that to my other 15.5 We are looking at 24 hours, all before Saturday! Which by the way is a whole day's worth of time!! :) Not to bad right?! And Saturday I will get probably 3 maybe 4. Imma try for 4. So we are looking at…(math-ing in my mind)…28 for this week. Making a total of… 54 hours before the 18th of the month. I should have had more. BUT being able to go to the Pioneer Meeting and Assembly took off 3 days. But thats ok. It was all REALLY GOOD!! :) No to bad either way. Then I have about 7 or 8 days left to get 16 hours. PWAHAHA!! Consider it done! Plus I am hoping to get lots extra this month!
By the way, I made an interesting discovery a few days ago. If one where to go out only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Putting in 3 hours every Tuesday and Saturday. And 8 hours each Wednesday and Friday. Does anyone know how many hours they would make in the month of April?!?!?! 88 hours!! So for my loverly friends at home, I was thinking. If you split the 8 hour days and did 4 hour days Mondays, Wednesdays,Thursdays, and Fridays. You could still get 88 hours! Which is pretty cool if you ask me! If you pack a lunch with you, and take only a 30 minute break, that gets you ending your service days at…(math-ing it up) Well it all really depends on when the service meeting schedule is set for. here is an example. An EJEMPLO!! Here n Monte Lirio, the service meeting is now at 8:50 so that we are leaving the hall and starting our service at 9 a.m.
9 to 10, 10 to 11, 11 to 12. (There is your three hour day!) 9 to 10, 10 to 11, 11 to 12. {30 minute lunch break} 12:30 to 1:30. (There is your four hour day!!) You know writing it down like that makes it seem, JUST AS easy as it would be to do it!! :) Work in the afternoons. Kids are at school, Husbands or Wives at work, that would get you home lets say 2, or 2:30. Gives you enough time to clean house, do some work, and make a yummy dinner for your family. Wa-la! I am a genius! Well not really, but I do thunk Im smurt somedimes. (And just so you know, I had to write that sentence twice because of my spell checker on this thing! Haha!) Ok but seriously! How cool would it be to do a 88 hour month next month?! Whose with me? Who is willing to at least try it. Try it for like 1 week. Only 1 week faithfully. If you can't do it. You still got all hours that week. :) Come on people, whose with me?! …this would be a lot easier if I could see whose hands are up…Hmm…Anyways, thats my plan for April. Tuesdays and Saturdays 3 hour days. Wednesdays and Fridays 4 hour days. And wa-la! I still get 3 days off of the week. Not to bad! Almost half the week is off. And I will tell you why it is like that. Numbero UNO! Mondays are seriously everyone's off day in this country. It is strange its like Saturdays but on Monday. Might it be because they partier harder here? Just a question, I wouldn't know. ANYWAYS. Mondays are when I talk with my family, to do that I have to travel to Rio Serreno to the internet! Thursdays are our meeting nights, since we are in the jungle-ous mountain, they don't want everyone going back home in the dark. Since at around 6-ish the sun is starting to go down, the meeting starts at 4 in the afternoon. Since its all in Spanish it takes me a while to study and meditate on what I studied. Although its not taking me nearly as long as before. SUCCESS! Sundays are freebies! :) That is why here are 3 off days, and 4 on days. Ha! Anyways, WOW! Its 11:15 as in P.M.!! Let me check…(checking)… oh gross! I have the PLYOMETRIC (which according to Mr. Spell Check, isn't even a word!) CARDIO CIRCUIT! Wait! WAIT! Thats the one with the sequence I like! :) 'Basketballs'-Where you pretend like your picking up a basketball from the floor and you have to jump up and pretend to shoot it, for 30 seconds. Then 'Level 1 Drills' - Where you start with your hands up, you go down in a plank position, do 4 push-ups, then run it out in a plank position for 10 seconds. Then 'Ski-Abs'- You start in a plank position and moving only your legs and core, bring your feet together to your left side then to your right. Then 'In-and-Out-Abs'-Which you start in plank position, then bring your feet up, together to your hands. :) I love this workout!!!! Ah yes I forgot to mention, you have to do that sequence 3 times, each time faster and with a 30 second break in the middle. Oh yeah!! hmm I want to do it right now. But I don't think thats a good idea seeing as it is now. 11:23. Nor do I think it is a good idea to STILL be typing about my bad idea choices. HAha! Since tomorrow is a service day I don't even get to sleep, like I did today, until 7 a.m! Can you believe that. I must have been tired, or something!! Sadly I am not being sarcastic. That is late for here. We are usually finishing up preparing or starting to eat breakfast at 7. I was lazy today! Tsk! Tsk! Oh yeah by the way, we are an hour ahead Mexico time, and two hours ahead of Cali time. My mind and body strangely still set on both. So thats like getting eating breakfast at 6 for Mexico and 5 for Cali. But on Wednedays and Saturdays I make breakfast. So that means waking up at 5:45 to be ready to start breakfast at 6. So….. 4:45 and 5 for Mexico. And 3:45 and 4 for Cali. Fun stuff man! Of course though since I am on Mexico and Cali time still when the clock says 11:28 here, it doesn't feel like it. It feels like 10:28 or even 9:28. Problamatic, I think yes! Either way I have to go to sleep now. Because although it doesn't feel like its late now, it will when I have to wake up. :) Okay last side note I promise! I started reading the Yearbook a few weeks ago. Mainly because we just barely to it here. ANYWAYS, I am trying to read just 5 pages each night and I am now on Page 75 when Im done tonight! :) Ok thats it! I promised!! :) Goodnight dear crazies that I have left scattered about the earth! :) Goodnight Day66!!!
