Day 110- Saturday, April 28th, 2012

Let the record show, these new medicine is NOT working. I am pretty sure I almost passed out in service today twice. Mayka made me go home after only an hour and a half. She said that when I was talking at one of the houses she thought I was going to faint or throw up or both cause I guess my voice was going in and out, and then when I was trying to tell her I didn't need to go home she said I was like focusing in and out on her. So she made me come home. :( This morning I didn't feel good, and I realized the medicine isn't working but I need some serious service time so I went out anyways. I made it to 2 hours and then was sent home. :( I did some letter writing until 12. So at least I got 4 hours this morning. I am going to go back out at 4 to go do a study and then I am coming home. Im gonna take the bus up to the study though, and possibly take the bus back. I think I fell asleep walking back home this morning, cause like a whole chunk of my trip back I have no memory of. Thats not good, right?! Sceerry! Anyways, Now its almost 1 and Im anxious to get out of the house, and to my study. But even though the buses pass by now, Osiris can only study sometime after 4. Because she goes to the University today and she doesn't get back until around this time, and she has to work in the store they have a little today and do some other things as well. Daniela is a crazy little child but thankfully, helps her mom out a bit. Anyways, I can't go there until 4. So…What do I do for the next 3ish hours? Thats a good question, self, what will you do? I don't know,self, what do you think I should do? I got nothing, self, sorry. Your lame, self. I know… :( WAAA! I already went over what I am going to talk about with Osiris. I got my scriptures all prepared. So we are set there.

Ok so I figured the last time I got home and it was super dark and everyone was kinda like 'Oh no! You shouldn't be out by yourself in the dark' I figured this time  I would come home an hour early. Last time I got home around 8. This time I got home around 7. Which WOULD have been ok, if it didn't get SOO dark today and fast. By the time, I reached the store it was just as dark as it was the day I came home at 8. Super lame. BUT thats not where the story starts today, :) So this time I waited for the bus to take me up to Osiris house. I waited like 45 minutes, by the way. Super lame. But I guess today was an off day for everyone and they all ended up quitting today early, which means nothing to me, cause all I wanted was to go up the mountain. Well higher up that is. So we got up to the school of San Antonio ARRIBA and I got off. What other place can you get from point A to point B for 35 cents?! I know its THAT expensive…BAHAHA! I think I have been here to long, cause when he told me it was 35 I was like '35 cents! WOW!' Cause I thought it was a little steep. So yeah, ANYWAYS, I got to Osiris' house at around 4:45ish but it was ok cause she didn't even realize what time it was cause she was napping. :) Anyways, she woke up and we sat in the chairs that are outside her house. We started talking about the week and what we did, and then one thing led to another and an hour went by and we were still talking about life. We noticed this because her daughter asked her 'Mom! When are you going to start talking about the Bible' haha apparently life-talk is boring for Daniela. haha. Anyways, we dove right in to the subject she brought up last week. 'Why do Jehovah's Witnesses believe only 144,000 go to heaven?' I of course was all prepared and everything. :) I showed her the list of scriptures I had made (there were 10) and we started on the first one. This is the list I made of scriptures that talk about this subject (for the courtesy of those at home) Side note: DUDE! I knew how to spell courtesy! 

1) Luke 22:19-20,28-30 - Jesus makes a new covenant with his disciples, just like his father had made a covenant with him, in order for the others to sit on thrones as judges.

2)John 14:2,3- Jesus goes to prepare a place for those to follow…Where did Jesus go when he died? Heaven with his Father, so the place he prepared for them, would be there. 

3)Revelations 20:4- Those on the thrones, are given the power of judging and are the rule as kings with the Christ. 

4)Revelations 5:9,10- This same group is to become a kingdom and priests of Jehovah, they are to rule as kings over all the earth. 

5)Revelations 14:1- 144,000 marked with the name of Jesus and the name of Jehovah on their foreheads. 

6)Revelations 14:3,4- Again we see the number of 144,000 when talking about this group. We also see that they were bought from the earth. Meaning that they are humans here on earth that were chosen by Jehovah himself to become part of this group, and will eventually follow Jesus into heaven and take their place as judges,kings and priests. ((At this point in the conversation, she stopped and said, something caught my eye in verse 4. Rev.14:4 says, "They are the ones that did not defile themselves with women, in fact, they are virgins. These are the ones that keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes. These were bought from among mankind as first fruits to God and to the Lamb.' Then she said "So then this group of judges are all virgins?! Because…well lets be completely honest. These people must be all very spiritual and very wise. And a young person usually isn't wise. So they would all be older when they are chosen by Jehovah. But…if they are older, how are they supposed to be virgins?!" And this is where I died. haha. No I didn't die, instead I said. "Well, no. Remember that the book of Revelation, speaks many times symbolically and not literally. This scripture here though is talking about their spiritual sense. They are spiritual virgins because like the scripture says they 'keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes.' So they are virgins in a spiritual sense. Like you said when they do go to heaven, when they die, they will be older in age. And since the are 'bought from among mankind' we can say that many of them will have been married. So its not talking about literally virgins, here its talking about spiritual virgins." and she was like "Ohhh! Ok. Cause I was gonna say, thats pretty impossible now-a-days to find some that is a virgin." Then we kept on going through the scriptures. :) Nicely done right?))

7)Revelation 7:4-8- Since this was a scripture we had looked at the week prior she said, once she turned to the scripture. "I remember this one, this is the scripture that says again the number of the 144,000 that will be going to heaven. And then verses 9 and 10 talk about the great crowd of people that will be staying here on earth." I don't think I have ever been so proud! :) Since my next scripture after this one WAS IN FACT, verses 9 and 10. I said "Thats right. So from these scriptures what do we know?" and she said "Well, we have PROOF that only 144,000 will go to heaven to be judges, kings, and priests, everyone else will be here on the earth in a paradise." Thats when I wanted to end it on an even better note so I said. "Lets looks at Isaiah 65:17-25, to see what kind of world this paradise will be." She read it and kept pausing and saying things like "Oh man! Can you imagine that?!'' and "I don't know why I have never heard this scripture before." and "This is really nice." and finally "This paradise is where I want to be." :D This scripture in Isaiah specifically 65: 18 where it talks about Jehovah 'creating a Jerusalem' made her remember another question she had. So we turned back to Revelation where she searched and searched and then finally asked 

'Do you remember where it says that Jehovah is going to bring a new city out of the heavens?' We turned to Revelation 21:2. We read it. And she asked, so doesn't that mean that this new Jerusalem will be like a new world that we go to live on? Because it says in verse 1 " a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven, and the former earth head passed away, and the sea is no more." and thats when this new Jerusalem comes down from heaven. So we won't live here on the earth? Isn't the paradise supposed to be here?" 

So I said, "There are many scriptures on this topic. Im thinking of one right now, that says the earth will be here forever. But I can't remember where the scripture is. ((SIDE NOTE: Its Psalms 78:69)) Either way, remember the book of Revelation speaks a lot in symbolic terms. This is another scripture speaking in symbolic terms. Think of it this way, lets say you build a beautiful, big, perfect house. The people you are going to rent the house to, move in, and its perfectly clean, everything is just right. Now lets say, after some time you go to the house just to check on how everything is doing. When you go inside, you see this family is destroying your beautiful perfect house. The house is a mess, and you see they are slowly ruining everything in your house. (I think she could totally picture this, cause she started frowning) You have 2 options. 1) You can kick out that family and start cleaning and fixing the damage they did. or 2) You can say, well this place doesn't work anymore, and start building a new house…Which sounds more logical to you?" 

"I would kick out the people destroying my house. Then I would clean and fix it and only let good people live there!" she said.

"Exactly! Its the same here," I replied. "Think about it, this earth was perfectly made. So why are we hearing that there are so many things, wrong with it?" 

"The people who are destroying it. There is nothing wrong with this earth, just the people."

"Right. So when Jehovah takes away 'those ruining the earth' like the Bible says he will. Who will be left?"'

"Only the good people, only the ones that care enough about the earth to clean and repair it. Ohh! Ok, I get it now. This 'new heaven and new earth' is symbolic."

"The Bible says there will be a 'new heaven and new earth', but why?"

"Because everything will be different. It will be new for us, because we have never been in a earth or have had a heaven that is perfectly clean. The new earth is how we will see the earth, when everything is different."

"Right!" :D Is she not an awesome Bible study?!?! My new favorite day of the week is Friday because I get to study with her. :D So this next week, on Friday, my favorite day! I am going to show her why 'New Jerusalem' is part of God's Kingdom. And we will go over a bit more, what will happen when it comes. I mentioned to her that in the prayer Jesus gave us as a model, we are actually asking for this kingdom to come and fix everything. So we will talk more about that on Friday! :) Im so excited about it! She is an awesome study! Seriously thirsty for the truth. The craziest part is this…I think she is related to the Catholic pastor in town!! :) If people are thirsty enough to find the truth, they are going to find it, with the people that show them FROM THEIR OWN BIBLES what they want to know. :) Whenever, I leave their house she always seems SO happy that she learned a little bit more. Matthew 5:3 much? I think yes! And now when I leave Daniela always yells after me, 'I love you! We all love you!' Haha. I won her over when I brought her a 'Bible Story' book. She always comes out and shows me what stories they have read and what she has learned. :) I love them! I am SO thankful to Jehovah for being able to find someone like her to study the Bible with. It makes everything, all the craziness that I've watered down for you guys, SO worth it. Just being able to have one GREAT Bible study, someone who REALLY wants to learn the truth! :) Im the first person to ever like EVER study with her. Everyone in the hall was surprised when I said I was studying with her. Because no one has ever studied with anyone in this family before. AHH!! I am so thankfully and happy that I get to tidy with her. Its a HUGE privilege and blessing. :) And it makes me happy to use all my energy to climb the mountain with all my service books, in a skirt, just so that I can talk with her! Im really going to miss her when I go back home in… 67 days, well 66 days. Cause I have to leave here 1 day earlier, to go to Panama City…GASP! 67 days left in Panama! DUDE! My trip is almost ¾ of the way over! In 22 days, I will be at the ¾ mark through my trip!  WOW! Weird! Oh yeah ok, so I finally left her house, like a mile high. And almost dancing down the road, so naturally when someone call out, 

"Hola Margarita"I looked up in the direction of the voice, with a huge smile and even though I didn't see who it was, because it was coming from the top of a driveway, off of the main road, I replied with a "Hi! How are you?" I was that happy about my study. And then I saw him…Yes, Sylvia! Mr Rico-Suave. 

"Im good. How are you?" he said. 

"Perfecto!" I said, he isn't going to take me away from my happy-high.

"Yes you are." he replied, eyeing me. I suddenly felt very aware of my clothes, and began pulling the edges of my sweater closer together. (Bahaha! I know right?!) I kept walking. ((Oh yeah, y'all gotta know! This house runs into the main road. So if your not paying attention instead of take the curve that the road takes, you'll just drive right up this drive-way. But since this house is not only on a hill, but there is also a little store up there. There is also about 10 to 15 stone steps that start from the main road an go to the edge of the store, well close to the store. These stairs are a ways past the driveway, at this moment I was at the driveway and you gotta walk the length of the driveway, to get to the stairs, but I also have to walk the length of the driveway (on the road) to get PAST the stairs before I pass the only other way down from his house. By the time I pass the stairs, I am a believable-distance away so that if I pretended not to hear the people at the store or house, I could get away with not talking back, because I could say I just didn't hear them, instead of being rude and blatantly not responding. Just so you know…these are the details.) Ok so I keep walking, past the driveway. And I am closing my distance to the stairs, rather fast because I want to get past them faster then he can get to and down them. Apparently he realizes this is my plan, and as I am like seriously like ½ a step from the stairs he steps out into the street. He steps out, I think purposely, farther then necessary. So I literally run into him. Well I got some speed up, at this time and he steps back from the impact. (Man! I make it sound like Im an elephant or something 'THE IMPACT! DUN DUN DUN!!!!! hahaha Hmm…I should probably start working on my personal view of myself, but later. Now back to the story.) He takes a step back, and so do I. Thanks to the combination of my stupid, old, flimsy shoes, with the soles practically walked off, and the recent rain on the rocks and moss, and the fact I just ran into Mr. Rico-Suave and his cloud of pheromones. (HA! THATS how you spell it!) I start to loose my balance. Being the ever so helpful gentlemen that he is, he grabs me by my sides, and steads me back to my feet, coincidentally "having" to step closer as he does this. Closing whatever molecule of space we had between each other before he made me run into him. Has anyone else noticed how frequent I end up meeting up with this guy. Its like he is purposefully gettin all up in my business! I don't like it. And I know what you all are thinking, I am going to be careful! Speaking of being careful….

"Be careful. I don't want you to fall and get hurt." he oozes (I figure it is safe to say he oozes this out, cause well…You'd have to have been there. Trust me, he oozed this! haha) At this point, I would have preferred to fall on my butt, in the rain and in the puddle that I WOULD have fallen into if he hadn't gotten in my way. And then took it upon himself to "save" me. PSH! More like took it upon himself to get all up my biznet! Dude! I got business to attend to, so why don't you just mind yo own! BAM! UGH! The nerve he had to grab me! GASP molest me in a public place! Oh man! I should have slapped him and then blamed it on an instant reaction. That would have been priceless! OH Man! Why didn't I do that?! Ok ok where was I? Ah yes him grabbing my very being. Bahaha! 

"Thanks." I say pushing myself a step back away from him. 

"Whats wrong?" he asks as I regain my composure and fix my shirt. 

"I gotta go." I say stepping to the right and getting ready to beat him with my umbrella if he makes one false move. And at this point a false move, could be any move. 

"Where are you going? Its late and getting dark. Do you want a ride?"

"Nooo." I say, stepping around him and starting to walk away.

"You sure?" he says stepping up to me, matching my pace.

"Yep Im sure, Thanks though." MERICIFULLY my phone company, MoviStar decided to send me the final promotion of the night, just then so I start reading the message and walk faster. he stops. Thank goodness! 

"When are you going to Sereno next?" he asks. 

"I don't know. Probably never." I call back. The last thing I hear before turning the corner is him laughing and calling 'Bye Beautiful'. MAN! He gives me the willies! He shouldn't be being this friendly. A normal person, wouldn't be doing this unless they think there is a chance, something else could happen…Uh-oh does he think something else will happen?! Why does he think that?! Have I done something to make him think that?! Hmm I should have punched him in the face, or beat him with my umbrella or something! Or...wait! He isn't normal. He is Mr. Rico-Suave! He has it in his mind, that he can get anyone and everyone. And side note: He probably has…But not this one. Not me. Ok honestly? Like at the beginning it was like 'Hmm well this is new.' and then it changed to 'Ok he is gorgeous. What does he want?!' and then it went to 'Is he seriously mackin on THIS?! Like really?' and now its like 'Wow! Obviously he nows goes into on of the following categories:  Distraction, Temptation, Beautiful Specimen of Man, Yikes!, You-Best-Watch-Yo'-self-Gurl!, or the 'If-Your-Not-Careful-and-Start-Thinking-About-THAT-You-Could-Find-Yourself-Being-An-Example-For-Others-and-NOT-A-Good-Example-Mind-You! categories. All of which I try and stay away from, now-a-days. Hmm maybe just to be safe I will put him in all of those categories…Yes. He is now in all of those categories. Which puts him in the box of categories that has the mental note of: Be Careful! DANGER! Keep Out' on it. What other categories could he be put in? Any ideas? Anyone have a for-sure-cure to get rid of a beautiful specimen of man? Anyone? I will now be taking suggestions, until…July 3rd. :) No but seriously! Suggestions?! Por favor!! But either way don't worry. THAT aint happening! I didn't come to Panama to find and get a gorgeous boy…no a man-toy. Haha. Ok sorry but that made me laugh. Ok ANYWAYS! 

Anyways, once I got home it was dark and it was only 7!! But I went inside, talked with the lovelies. ((Side note: They are not being informed on the whole Mr. Rico-Suave situation I found myself with. In fact, no one in Panama knows about it. Which is how I want to keep it, its better to have people not know anything about this fool-child. Then for it to get around that he is a fool-child and have things start being changed from thoughts to facts, if you know what I mean)) Anyways, then I got into my loverly bed and then 'One not so very special day, I went to my typewriter, I sat down and I wrote our story. A story about a time, a story about a place. A story about the people. But above all things a story about…" and thats when the quote ends because it no longer holds true.
